Do
you see yourself as part of a wider culture?
The Land is Ours
mp->> Do you feel you're part of a
larger culture, or maybe subculture is the word?
Brendan->> I would avoid the word subculture. I
think we're part of a massive, growing global consciousness.
I think the fuckers at the top are the subculture who are bloody
brainwashing people. They're the subculture, we're the dominant
culture.
Tony->> There's actually an incredible amount of
time and effort that's gone into manipulating things into the
way they are at the moment, where such a tiny proportion of the
population of the world have control of such a large amount of
wealth, completely out of proportion of anything a true democratic
system would come up with. Actually, what's happened is the democratic
system has been totally subverted, particularly by the use of
the media and what the media leaves out. Particularly about some
of these corporate elite groups, like the Bilderberg conferences,
the Trilateral Commission, and the World Economic Forum. Nobody
in the street has consciousness of these organizations, and so
people are really without the tools that they need to make sense
of the world around them.
Brendan->> I think this equates to a remark Winstanley
made 350 years ago, "We are like men in a mist looking for
freedom, and the mist is being quite deliberately and calculatedly
created." I think there's a whole mass of people out there
who've got some deep-seated feeling that something is wrong but
they don't know how to articulate it or do something about it,
because the system is designed not to allow them to do that.
